Part 1 continued: Your essay needs to include citations on where your research information came from. You must use at least three sources for your information. Research must be kept track of in a google doc or in a notebook. It should include notes on what you learned and where the source was (web address, book title author, etc.) This information will be used in class to create a bibliography.
The report must be in your own words. Any information taken word-for-word must have quotes around it or be in italicized text and the source must be cited. Part 2: On presentation day, dress like your pharaoh. Include props for your presentation. Prop examples might include: a royal staff, jewelry, headdress, a paper or clay Cartouche (see below for definition) with your name in hieroglyphics, or a weapon for hunting or battles (if your pharaoh hunted or fought battles). On the presentation day you will tell the audience about your life as a pharaoh. This is a living museum style presentation. This means you will be speaking as though you are the pharaoh. An example would be, "I am Nefertiti the Great! Bow before me!" You will tell about the things in the report (which are your life), but you will not read the report to us. |
