How It Works:
Welcome to Team 6's Egyptian Projects Extravaganza!!! There are fourteen projects from which to choose and each project assignment has different point values. You may choose any of the assignments with the goal of acquiring 100 points. If you select assignments that add up to more then 100 points and you want to complete them, you may, however; the additional point value does not count as extra credit. Do not go overboard and try to do too many assignments; the quality of your work is how you will receive a better grade, not with the quantity of projects!
Research is an important part of these projects. Research is 50% of the grade for this project. Research means finding facts and details that go beyond the basic information we learned about in class. For example: We already know that the Nile River is the longest in the world. You can include that on your fact cards, but to successfully complete the research part of the grade, you will need to acquire information about the Nile that we did not take notes on or find in our history book. (See the research page for more information)
The assignments include 10, 20, 50, and 80 point options. The projects with higher point values take longer to complete. Each assignment has an attached rubric. Before you get started on your projects, be sure to read the rubrics and become familiar with how the projects will be graded.
The idea with all of these projects is to be creative with the materials and items you choose. You should not have to spend any money, or very little if necessary. For example: do not buy little Egyptian characters when creating a diorama; instead, find a little army toy soldier you may already have and using scrap cloth, make a white robe and glue it on to create an "Egyptian" figure.
Now that you have read this overview, you may begin choosing your projects by going to the "Assignment Options" button above.
Have fun creating your projects!
